Corn Belt Power Cooperative and IADG successfully secured two $300,000 grants to assist the hospital renovations for the Franklin General Hospital in Hampton and also the Kossuth Regional Health Center Hospital in Algona.   Both facilities are under construction with expansion and renovation efforts with total project costs and investments totals over $7.7 million. 

 

 

The Algona project will construct a 25 room inpatient care unit.   The Franklin General Hospital also has extensive renovations with further assistance from Franklin REC who successfully received a $740,000 loan from USDA for the project.    Combining the Franklin REC and Corn Belt Power’s assistance will provide over $1.1 million to the Franklin General Hospital project.
