CIPCO Contributes $45,000 to IADGCF  Dennis Murdock, CEO of Central Iowa Power Cooperative (CIPCO) made a surprise announcement at the CIPCO annual meeting held recently in West Des Moines. “The board of directors of CIPCO took action to “gift” 1,000 shares of Alliant Energy stock that has an approximate market value of $45,000 to the Iowa Area Development Group Community Foundation’s (IADGCF) endowment fund,” said Murdock. The contribution is to be used for the “seeding” of the IADGCF’s endowment fund.
Rand Fisher, President of IADG was very appreciative stating, “We are very honored to have CIPCO’s trust and confidence in our organization. The IADG Community Foundation is just getting off the ground and this gift will certainly boost our efforts to enhance community philanthropy, education and training assistance for rural Iowa community foundations.
