Cropland Containers Locates Project in Webster City

Cropland Containers provides sales and service of new and reconditioned industrial containers.  The company is based in Minneapolis and has recently decided to expand in Webster City.   Cropland Containers will locate their industrial containers operation in the White Transfer & Storage warehouse.  The company will clean and refurbish plastic containers that are used to transport bulk chemicals, food products, and similar materials.  The 80,000 sq.ft. building will offer room for washing, recertifying and recycling the industrial container units.

Gary Sandholm of the Webster City Area Development said, “Cropland Containers will be serving a market area extending from the upper Midwest to Texas.  The company will be filling the need for a centralized facility that reduces transportation costs and time for their customers.”

The company expects to employ 25 people when they become fully operational in 2010.   Webster City Municipal Utilities, a member of Corn Belt Power, provides power to the project in Webster City.
