Dawn has been with the City of Manning for 16 years, serving as the City Administrator for the past 12. She serves on several regional and state boards and enjoys the challenges that come with working with City Government. Part of Dawn’s time is spent on economic development, and she’s worked on many large and small economic development projects over the years including housing, business recruitment, business transitions, and business retention.

After growing up in the shadow of the World’s Largest Bullhead in Crystal Lake, Iowa, John enlisted in the US Navy and served for 4 years as a welder at Submarine Base Pearl Harbor. Missing the change of seasons that Iowa provides, John returned home to continue his education at North Iowa Area Community College (NIACC), later graduating from Iowa State University with a BS in Civil Engineering.
For just over eight years, John had the pleasure of working as an assistant engineer for the biggest county in the state of Iowa, Kossuth County. Since 2007, John has been the County Engineer for the best county in the state of Iowa, Butler County. John and his wife Ali have a daughter, a senior at Aplington-Parkersburg High School, and two sons at Iowa State University. They reside on an acreage and hobby farm outside of Parkersburg.

AJ is in his 5th year as a Supervisor of Worth County. He has owned his business since 2017, which offers Water and Wastewater Operations for smaller communities in North Iowa. They also offer small excavation services(water, sewer, and septic systems). AJ lives in Manly (pop. 1,230) with his wife Gretchen and their daughter Alaina.
