Located in Keosauqua, the Hillphoenix Speciality Products (formerly Barker Company) was founded in 1982. The company manufactures both refrigerated and non-refrigerated display cases for the supermarket, convenience store, and food service industries. The workforce has grown from 10 during that first year, to over 450 people today.   The Hillphoenix “campus” in downtown Keosauqua now includes a research and development facility.
