Heartland Express, Inc. is a Fortune 500 company and the 10th largest truckload carrier in the United States. Heartland Express recently located its corporate headquarters facility in North Liberty with a major investment in a 64,000 sq. ft. corporate office space and 31,000 sq. ft. truck facility. Founded in 1978 the company has operations in nine states with 4,000 employees and 3,000 trucks. With the new facilities, the company has added 100 new jobs employing 300 people at the headquarters located in North Liberty.
