Richarz Repair Recognized with Venture Award
Recognizing Entrepreneurial Spirit and Community Investment
The Iowa Area Development Group (IADG), in collaboration with its Rural Electric Cooperative partners, proudly honored Richarz Repair LLC with an Iowa Venture Award. The presentation was made in conjunction with the annual meeting of Lyon Rural Electric Cooperative in Rock Rapids.
Founded in 2010 with a single service truck, Richarz Repair LLC has grown into a full-service heavy equipment and heavy truck repair operation based in Larchwood, Iowa. What began as a one-person operation quickly expanded. By 2011 the company had its first full-time employee, and by 2012 a purpose-built facility was constructed outside of Larchwood. The company has continued to grow since, adding buildings and equipment to accommodate an expanding customer base. Today, Richarz Repair employs 45 people and operates 5 service trucks covering a 400-mile radius across the Midwest, serving dairies, feedlots, construction operations, and over-the-road trucking customers. The company carries a full line of heavy equipment and heavy truck parts and recently expanded into the used equipment parts market.
Richarz Repair LLC was nominated for this prestigious award by Lyon Rural Electric Cooperative for their entrepreneurial vision and dedication to their customers and community. Dustin Timmerman, General Manager of Lyon Rural Electric Cooperative, expressed his enthusiasm for the nomination, stating, “Richarz Repair is exactly the kind of business that makes rural Iowa strong. To watch them grow from a one-man operation into the thriving business they are today is something we are proud to have witnessed. The way they serve their customers and invest in this community says a lot about who they are, and that goes a long way in why they deserve this award.”
Bruce Nuzum, President and CEO of IADG, extended his congratulations, saying, “We are proud to recognize Richarz Repair LLC with an Iowa Venture Award. Their growth from a single service truck to a 45-person operation serving customers across the Midwest is a testament to the entrepreneurial spirit that continues to make Iowa’s rural communities thrive. We congratulate them on this well-deserved recognition.”
